Our Purpose
Academia Arabesca's purpose is to stimulate interest in and
promote understanding of cultures in the Middle East and North
Africa, specifically Morocco by:
facilitating personal emotional
involvement in intercultural activities, and providing international
resource centres of Middle Eastern and North African cultures.
It does this by:
- providing opportunities for
close contact with Moroccans through courses, seminars, excursions,
family visits, cultural exchanges, and participation in local
events.
- providing a reference library
of books, journals, press cuttings, video/audio formats, postcards,
photographs, event programs, posters, traditional garments,
and musical instruments, etc.
- providing multiple research
centres including conference facilities, seminar rooms, and
accommodation for individuals and groups.
- providing access to a vast
network of individuals and organisations throughout the Arab
and Muslim world.
